Santaji Urban follows the three-tier co-operative governance model set out in its registered bye-laws: supreme authority rests with the general body of members; a board or managing committee exercises oversight between general meetings; the chief executive / branch heads run operations within delegated powers.
Responsibilities by layer
- General body — approves annual accounts, declares dividend (if any), appoints auditors, amends bye-laws where required, sanctions large policy shifts.
- Board / managing committee — sets credit and investment policy limits, reviews asset quality, ensures regulatory timelines are met, guides expansion or consolidation of branches.
- Management — executes board decisions, sanctions loans within powers, manages liquidity and HR, maintains MIS for committees and regulators.
An organisation chart naming office bearers and key officials complements the Leadership page and is circulated to members in annual reports and notices.
